Data Sources
Where Frij’s product information comes from and how we update it.
What is EPREL?
EPREL is the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling, maintained by the European Commission. It provides energy labels and product information for energy-related products, including refrigerators.
Visit EPRELWho supplies the information?
Product information is registered by suppliers: manufacturers, importers or authorised representatives. Frij displays this information and does not independently test the appliances.
How we import and update data
Frij imports refrigerating appliance records from EPREL into its own catalogue. Each import adds new records and updates existing records using their EPREL registration number. Imports are currently triggered manually, with no fixed update interval. Our catalogue is not a live feed and may lag behind changes in EPREL.
How we present the information
We organise specifications into searchable categories and filters, translate interface labels into English and German, and format values for easier reading. Some records may have missing information. Follow “Data source: EPREL” on a product page to consult its original record.
